Today, on the advice of my many mentors, I took an old, shitty, unfinished painting and destroyed it.
Fellow artistes, if you haven't tried this yet, you really should. Catharsis on a galactic scale, plus there's one less ugly painting in the world with my name on it.

Cool. It's so worth it.
It's a great release to get rid of a crappy painting that way. One great thing about it is the stretcher bars are begging to be stretched with untainted canvas.
Now that is a very good point, Heather.
